100 Day Project (reprise)…

Woo hoo! I made it!

Earlier this year I shared that I had joined ABC Queensland Evenings 100 Day Project

100 days of doing something that brings you joy, or taps into your creative self.

I committed to 100 days of mindful photography.

Allowing something to capture my attention, then fully giving my attention to it and taking a photograph.

It’s been a huge amount of fun…

Just noticing things I hadn’t seen before…

Learning about different plants (and weeds)…

Spotting birds and bugs…

Just seeing the unusual or beautiful in ordinary, everyday things.

We started back in April…

The firsts few weeks my photos were very much in and around home…

Objects that caught my eye…

Then for quite a while it seems everything was weather focused…

Then very much immersed in nature…

The final few weeks have been a bit more random…

A bit more quirky…

But I’ve really enjoyed the challenge.

I must admit I wondered if I could keep it up…

But what it’s shown me is that if we just take some time to look around…

To really notice what’s there…

Give it our attention…

Explore it…

Then there is so much to see and observe.

This, essentially, is at the core of mindfulness.

Being present and aware.

What’s happening now… in this current moment.

So whatever you are doing…

Take a break, right now…

Take a deep breath…

Look up and notice…

What can you see and hear…?

Give the moment your full attention.

You never know what you might discover.

Ann 🙏
